As I write this letter to you, I find myself filled with a mix of emotions. After a 25-year journey with Alteams, the last 14 of which I had the honour of serving as your CEO, the time has come for me to bid farewell and step into retirement this June. This journey has been full of interesting experiences, marked by change, growth, and resilience.
Over these years, both our company and the world around us have evolved tremendously. We have seen periods of strong expansion and investment, but also moments of challenge such as factory closings and layoffs. It reminds me of the saying, “Things happen to those who do things.” Indeed, our proactive spirit has been the cornerstone of our progress.
Leading a family enterprise has been particularly rewarding. The trust placed in me and the long-term perspective inherent in family businesses have been incredibly fulfilling. Family enterprises tend to look at things in the long term, monthly fluctuations are not that significant. Our focus has always been on the bigger picture, on building a legacy that stands the test of time.
I want to extend my deepest gratitude to each and every one of you. To our committed and competent employees, our loyal customers, and our dedicated partners – thank you from the bottom of my heart for your collaboration and shared experiences over the years. Your dedication and hard work have been the driving force behind our success.
As I step away, I want to leave you with a few thoughts. Continue to pull in the same direction, always keeping your eyes on the future. Follow the path of innovative and sustainable development. Especially during challenging times, it is crucial to maintain faith in your actions and future prospects. At the same time, be open to necessary changes and adapt quickly to changing conditions.
Thank you all once again for the incredible journey. It has been a privilege and an honour to work alongside you. I wish you all continued success and a bright future ahead.
Warm regards,
Asko Nevala
